With 16-megapixel Selfie Camera, Xiaomi Redmi S2 Launch

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi lifted the curtain on Thursday from its Redmi S2 handset as expected. Talking about the key features, it has 16-megapixel smart beauty front camera. Xiaomi Redmi S2 is made for the user who likes selfie and video calling. On the back side, two cameras are given. Redmi S2 in the Chinese market has been made available in Rose Gold, Champagne Gold, and Platinum Silver colors.

  • The sale of this handset will start in the domestic market from May 17.
  • Xiaomi starts the price of 999 Chinese Yuan (about 10,500 rupees) for selfie centric handset Redmi S2. There will be a variant of 3 GB RAM in this price.
  • Price of 4 GB RAM variants is 1299 Chinese Yuan (about 13,700 rupees).

  • The smartphone’s dimensions are 160.73×77.26×8.1 millimeters and weighing 170 grams
  • There is a fingerprint sensor for security, which is present on the back of the camera. Apart from this, users will also be able to keep the handset safe from their face, that is, it will come with face recognition.
  • 3080 MAH battery will work in the handset.
  • As we have told you earlier, this handset will have two variants based on RAM and storage. One has 32 GB inbuilt storage with 3 GB RAM, 64 GB storage with 4 GB of RAM. Both variants will support MicroSD card up to 256 GB.
  • The good thing is that the company has given different slots for two SIM cards and MicroSD cards in the Redmi S2.
  • 16-megapixel sensor for selfie has been given. It comes with features like AI Portrait Mode and AI Smart Beauty. There are two sensors on the rear. The primary camera is 12 megapixels and the secondary 5 megapixels.
  • The camera comes with phase detection autofocus (PDAF), F / 2.2 aperture, AI Portrait mode, Panorama mode and LED flash. It is informed that the user will be able to record video of 1080 pixel resolution at a rate of 30 frames per second from the rear camera.
  • Adreno 506 GPU for graphics is integrated.
  • Shaomi Redmi S2 has a 5.99-inch HD + (720×1440 pixels) display.
  • It comes with 269 pixels per inch density.
  • The company has used the trusted snapdragon 625 processor.
  • The connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and more common features like GPS. Accelerometer, gyroscope, infrared ammeter and electronic compass are part of the handset.
