MIUI 9 Will Get These Smartphones
The Chinese company has promised updates for entry-level Redmi phones such as Xiaomi Redmi 3, Xiamii Redmi 3S, Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime, and Radmi 2 Prime. The company also has a list of devices that receive MiUI 9 Global ROM, including Xiaomi mi note 3, Xiaomi Mi6, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A, Xiaomi Redmi 4, Xiaomi Redmi 4X, Xiaomi Redmi Y1, Xiaommi Redmi Y1 Light – All these have been started this year.
The New Features of MIUI 9
In MIUI 9, app load time will be faster than before, new design elements, shortcut on the lock screen, split screen feature, smart functionality, and other features will be its share.
Talking about MIUI 9, Jia Mani of Xiaomi, Lead Product Manager had earlier said that the company optimized Touch Rai, CPU Acceleration, and an automatic background activity management. Some other minor changes include automatic cache cleaning, new file system management, and Wi-Fi speed boost.
MIUI 9, the latest version of Xiaomi’s custom UI interface with MI 5X was unveiled in August this year. All new MIUI editions include rapid app loading times, new design elements, lock screen shortcuts, split screen feature, and more. The Chinese company has also optimized the system to promote faster app loading and performance.
Other highlights of MIUI 9 include Smart Assistants, which can be accessed by swiping from the Home screen, a smart app launcher which suggests the application to launch on a screen. And lastly, its image search feature, which can distinguish between photos based on the keywords you enter. The company is also giving its Mi Drop a spin which will now be available as a new app in the new MIUI 9 Global ROM. Mani also informed that MIUI 9 will support the original playback of 9 more video formats.
Even the company has announced a new phone, along with two new Redmi phones have also been launched under the Y series. Two phones are called Y1 Lite and Y1 and they are going on sale in the Indian market on November 8. In a way, Radmi Y1 and Radmi Y1 lights look like the rebranded versions of Radmi Note 5A Prime and Radmi Note 5A, which were recently launched in China. In India, the value of Y1 Lite will be Rs 6,999 Y1 – which is another powerful version of Y1 Lite – will be sold for Rs. 8,999 (for 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage version). 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage, Y1 will sell for Rs. 10,999.
