In year 2025 India will have 85 million Internet users


In the year 2025, the number of internet users in India is likely to cross 85 million. In a report of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), it has been said that this number will increase rapidly on availability and adoption of fast connections and on the basis of more capable devices.

BCG said that the devices which are being used nowadays have smartphones (3G or better connection) and feature phones with 2G connections. But now this trend is towards fast-moving connections and more capable devices.

It has been said in the report that the more mature people become digitally, the more activities they do while living online. As a result, digital effects on purchases and real digital commerce are increasing.

According to this report, "It took nearly eight years to reach 25 million 3G connections in India's mobile market, but Reliance Jio's 4G network of the country added 10 million connections in just seven months." According to that, by 2020 Half of internet users will be rural. About 40% will be women and 33% of users will be 35 years of age or older.
